Recent Developments and News
On December 4, 2024, INmune Bio partnered with OmniScience to implement the Vivo genAI platform in its global Phase 2 Alzheimer’s trial (AD02), enabling real-time data integration from electronic data capture (EDC), clinical outcome assessments (COAs), and wearable devices. Early rollout identified data discrepancies, improved cohort visualization, and facilitated enrollment decisions.
On January 28, 2025, the first patient enrolled in the Phase II portion of a metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) trial received INKmune at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center under Principal Investigator Matthew Rettig, MD. This outpatient trial arm evaluates safety and dosing of INKmune in up to 30 men with mCRPC.
In its March 27, 2025 business update, the company reported full enrollment of 208 patients in the blinded, randomized Phase 2 AD02 trial targeting early Alzheimer’s disease with biomarkers of neuroinflammation. Two interim analyses confirmed a strong correlation between the novel cognitive measure EMACC and the Clinical Dementia Rating–Sum of Boxes (p<0.001). The study also differentiated between prodromal (CDR 0.5) and mild dementia (CDR 1.0) patients (effect size d=0.87, p<0.0001). Additional highlights included a webinar on EMACC’s development, a publication in Cell Reports on soluble TNF’s role in remyelination, improvements in EEG biomarkers in moderate-to-severe Alzheimer’s disease patients, and observed changes in synaptic proteins after a 12-week treatment with XPro1595.
On June 30, 2025, INmune Bio filed a prospectus supplement (Form 424B5) to offer 3,000,000 shares at $6.30 each, aiming to raise $18.9 million gross and approximately $17.6 million net of placement agent fees. The shelf registration allows for up to $250 million in future offerings, with $162 million remaining available.
Financial and Strategic Analysis
As of June 30, 2025, INMB shares closed at $2.03, down 61.93% year-to-date, on a volume of 5,953,403 shares. Yahoo Finance data indicates:
- Market capitalization: $152.6 million (intraday)
- Trailing EPS: –1.93; net loss: $40.8 million (ttm)
- Total cash: $19.3 million; debt/equity ratio: 1.17%
- Levered free cash flow: –$18.2 million (ttm)
The $17.6 million net proceeds from the June 30 offering are expected to support ongoing clinical trials, biomarker development, and general operations. The remaining balance of the shelf registration provides strategic flexibility for additional financings.
Market Position and Industry Context
INmune Bio operates at the intersection of immunology, neurology, and oncology. The XPro1595 program addresses an emerging perspective of Alzheimer’s disease as driven by chronic neuroinflammation rather than solely by amyloid pathology. The AD02 trial’s focus on a biomarker-driven population and novel cognitive endpoints positions the company within a competitive field of neuroinflammation therapies. INKmune’s NK cell-priming mechanism targets minimal residual disease in cancer—a growing segment within immuno-oncology. The company’s dual-platform strategy differentiates it from firms focused exclusively on Alzheimer’s or oncology, while acknowledging the execution risks inherent to clinical-stage biotechs and the volatility in share performance.
