Embedded Wireless Growth: TI Announces $7.5 Billion Acquisition Deal with Silicon Labs

Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN) has agreed to acquire Silicon Labs in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $7.5 billion (around KRW 10 trillion), paying $231 per share. The deal, expected to close in the first half of 2027, is projected to generate about $450 million (roughly KRW 600 billion) in annual manufacturing and operational synergies.

Separately, the company disclosed that, at the end of January 2026, it granted two senior vice presidents common stock and stock options worth tens of millions of dollars (equivalent to several hundred billion won) under its long-term incentive plan, with a portion of the shares sold to satisfy tax withholding requirements.

In its January 27 announcement of fourth-quarter 2025 results, Texas Instruments reported revenue of $4.42 billion (approximately KRW 6 trillion), net income of $1.16 billion (about KRW 1.5 trillion), and earnings per share of $1.27. The company provided first-quarter 2026 revenue guidance in the range of $4.32 billion to $4.68 billion.
