Shares of CBRE Group Inc. (NYSE: CBRE), the leading U.S. commercial real estate services firm, plunged 12% on February 11, closing at $149.49 on the New York Stock Exchange. Its market capitalization fell to roughly $44.5 billion (about ₩64 trillion), wiping out nearly $4.8 billion (around ₩7 trillion) in a single day.
According to Bloomberg, the sell-off was driven by concerns that traditional brokerage fees could be undercut by the rise of AI-powered real estate platforms, coupled with disappointing earnings and guidance from Zillow released the previous day. Benzinga reports that CBRE will announce its fourth-quarter 2025 results before market open on February 12. Investors are watching closely for the pace of commission recovery, the company’s AI strategy, and its earnings guidance for 2026.
