Quantum Stocks Surge 14%... New Quantum Play in Partnership with NVIDIA and U.S. Government
Infleqtion Inc. (NASDAQ: INFQ) closed at $10.74 on April 2 on the New York Stock Exchange, representing a one‐day jump of 14.13%. Its market capitalization swelled to about $2.3 billion (roughly ₩3.5 trillion), adding some $380 million (around ₩580 billion) in value in a single session. Trading was relatively active, with volume topping 1.5 million shares.
The company has announced that it will demonstrate quantum-accelerated supercomputing integration using NVIDIA’s NVQLink at GTC 2026, underscoring its vision for hybrid computing that links AI supercomputers with quantum machines in real time. Infleqtion is also broadening collaborations with Sandia, Lawrence Berkeley, and Fermi national laboratories under the U.S. Department of Energy. In addition, it has secured a $6.2 million ARPA-E contract for power-grid optimization and $3.9 million in federal research funding—order pipelines valued at approximately ₩94 billion and ₩59 billion, respectively.
Based in the United States, Infleqtion develops neutral-atom quantum computers and quantum sensors using cooled atoms. It is growing its business by pursuing both government projects—in defense, space and energy—and commercial customers. The company went public on the NYSE in early 2026 via a SPAC merger with Churchill Capital Corp X, and, leveraging partnerships with the U.S. Department of Energy and NASA, is strengthening its position in the race to commercialize quantum sensing and computing.
