U.S. Semiconductor Executives Sell Billions in Stock According to Pre-Established Plans
Executives at U.S. power‐semiconductor firm Monolithic Power Systems Inc. (MPWR) executed sizable share disposals in late March and early April under pre-established Rule 10b5-1 trading plans. On March 30, Chief Legal Officer and Vice President Saria Tseng sold approximately 27,000 shares in eight transactions at between $1,000 and $1,040 per share, generating about $28 million (roughly KRW 38 billion). On April 1, Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Maurice Sciammas disposed of 30,000 shares at around $1,116 each, raising approximately $33.5 million (about KRW 45 billion). Although both executives reduced a portion of their direct holdings, they continue to maintain substantial stakes—over 170,000 shares directly and indirectly, plus interests in multiple family trusts—and are still participating in small‐scale trades and share acquisitions through the employee stock purchase plan (ESPP).
In its February 5 update to full-year 2025 guidance, the company raised its revenue outlook to reflect a 26% year-over-year increase and forecast low-20% growth for first‐quarter 2026 sales, driven by strong data-center and enterprise-data demand. It also elevated its minimum growth target for the enterprise-data segment, which includes data-center products, to 50% for 2026. Bolstered by expectations of expanded AI and data-center investment, MPWR shares traded above $1,100 as of April 2, extending their strong performance since the company’s inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 index.
