Meta AI Infrastructure Secures $30 Billion Contract; Executives Begin Share Liquidation at Peak
CoreWeave, Inc. (CRWV) has signed a long-term agreement with Meta Platforms to supply AI infrastructure through December 2032. Under the deal, CoreWeave will deploy approximately $21 billion (around ₩30 trillion) of dedicated AI cloud capacity across multiple regions to support Meta’s large-scale inference needs. At the same time, the company plans to accelerate adoption of NVIDIA’s next-generation Vera Rubin platform to meet Meta’s high-performance computing requirements.

Meanwhile, on March 17, Chief Financial Officer Nitin Agrawal sold common shares under a prearranged Rule 10b5-1 plan, realizing about $3.18 million (roughly ₩4.5 billion) in proceeds. Chief Strategy Officer Brian Venturo also converted B-class shares into A-class stock and sold several hundred thousand shares in the open market, generating approximately $23.8 million (around ₩33 billion), though he still retains significant indirect ownership through trusts and special-purpose vehicles.
Recently, CoreWeave completed a $3.5 billion private placement of 1.75% convertible senior notes due 2032. Fueled by back-to-back major AI infrastructure contracts and analyst upgrades, the company’s stock has soared again in April. In January, NVIDIA further deepened their strategic partnership by investing an additional $2 billion (about ₩3 trillion) in CoreWeave. Leveraging its long-term AI infrastructure agreements—most notably the Meta deal—CoreWeave is now raising several billion dollars in new funding to accelerate its capacity expansion.
CoreWeave, a U.S. firm specializing in GPU-based AI cloud infrastructure, has rapidly grown on the strength of NVIDIA’s backing, securing multi-trillion-won, long-duration capacity contracts with major clients such as OpenAI and Meta. As traditional hyperscalers face structural GPU shortages, the AI-specialized cloud market is being reshaped by large captive agreements and aggressive infrastructure investment.
