U.S. Semiconductor Stocks See Insiders Cashing Out Hundreds of Millions

On April 30, 2026, Dong-Hyun (Thomas) Hwang, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at MACOM Technology Solutions Holdings, Inc. (MTSI), sold 3,718 shares of the company’s common stock on the open market under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted in August 2025. The shares were sold in tranches at prices ranging from $271.40 to $281.59 per share, for total proceeds of approximately $1.03 million (about ₩1.3 billion). As a result, Hwang’s direct holdings declined from roughly 38,504 shares to 34,786 shares.

On May 14, 2026, Peter Y. Cheong, an insider affiliated with private equity firm Summit Partners, sold 43,268 MACOM common shares at an average price of $378.20 per share, realizing about $16.36 million (around ₩21 billion). After the transaction, Summit Partners retained a combined total of 6,781 shares, including vested restricted stock units.

In its second quarter of fiscal 2026, MACOM reported revenue of $289.0 million and adjusted earnings per share of $1.09, modestly beating Wall Street expectations. At the end of April, the company also entered into a long-term supply agreement with epitaxial wafer supplier IQE and committed to an equity and convertible bond investment of approximately £45 million to strengthen supply-chain stability in support of its growth strategy.

Headquartered in Lowell, Massachusetts, MACOM Technology Solutions Holdings is an analog and mixed-signal semiconductor company supplying RF, microwave and photonics chips and modules to the communications, data center, industrial and defense markets. In fiscal 2025 the company generated about $967 million in revenue, and its trailing four-quarter revenues total approximately $1.07 billion. Over the past several years, MACOM has achieved double-digit growth by expanding both its product portfolio and manufacturing capacity.
