Investment Surge in Electric Aircraft Stocks... Market Cap Increases by 300 Billion Won in One Day

Beta Technologies Inc. (NYSE: BETA) closed at $16.79 on the New York Stock Exchange, up 5.13%—approximately KRW 25,000. Its market capitalization rose by about $200 million (roughly KRW 300 billion) in one day to around $3.7 billion (KRW 5.6 trillion). Trading volume totaled 1,027,628 shares.

Electric Aircraft Manufacturing

The company recently completed a proof-of-concept flight of its ALIA CX300 electric aircraft in collaboration with airport operators at Orlando International Airport, Florida, as part of ongoing demonstrations aimed at commercialization. It has also announced preparations for its first paid passenger service in Hawaii using its electric aircraft, in partnership with Surf Air Mobility.

Headquartered in Vermont, Beta Technologies is an electric aircraft manufacturing startup developing both vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) and conventional takeoff and landing (eCTOL) platforms for cargo, medical, and military markets. Global transport companies—including UPS, Air New Zealand, and various air-ambulance and helicopter operators—have already placed orders, expanding the company’s potential customer base.
