After being taken private in 2022 by private-equity firm Thoma Bravo for approximately $6.9 billion, SailPoint was delisted from the New York Stock Exchange and has since expanded its enterprise identity-security platform under its parent company. Its most recent filings confirm that, as part of the Thoma Bravo portfolio, it is maintaining a growth strategy centered on cloud security and subscription-based software.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, SailPoint specializes in enterprise identity security, offering software that helps large organizations control access rights for employees, partners, and applications. Since going public in 2017, it steadily grew its subscription revenues and, following its 2022 acquisition by Thoma Bravo, became a private company—an emblematic deal in the sector’s ongoing M&A trend.
