RNA Interference Drug Stock Surges Over 1 Trillion Won in Just One Day
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ARWR) closed at $82.90 on the 17th, up 8.3% for the day, with 2.38 million shares traded. Its market capitalization reached about $11.6 billion, reflecting a one-day increase of more than $1 billion.

According to recent SEC filings, BlackRock was the largest institutional investor as of the end of March, holding roughly 17.1 million shares—about 12.2% of the company. In January, Arrowhead also raised additional capital by completing a public offering of approximately 3.1 million common shares to fund its research, development, and commercialization efforts.
Arrowhead is a U.S. biotech company developing gene-silencing therapies based on RNA interference (RNAi). Using its proprietary TRiM platform, the company has built a pipeline focused on liver and metabolic diseases.
Last year, Arrowhead secured its first commercial product when the U.S. FDA approved REDEMPLO, an siRNA therapy for reducing triglyceride levels in patients with familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS), a rare genetic disorder.
