AI Semiconductor Giant 'NVIDIA'... Board Executives Sell and Gift Shares Worth 500 Billion

According to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings, Mark A. Stevens, a member of NVIDIA Corporation’s board of directors, sold approximately 1.9 million shares of NVIDIA common stock through multiple trust accounts between June 2–4 and on June 18, raising over $400 million (roughly KRW 500–600 billion). Of that total, about $220 million was sold in three transactions in early June, and around $180 million in two transactions on June 18. During the same period, he also transferred more than 300,000 shares to family trusts as gifts, moving his stake without any cash consideration. The filings indicate that Stevens still holds over 30 million NVIDIA shares across various trusts and personal accounts. Another board member, Stephen C. Neal, is reported to have sold shares through a trust on June 3, securing several million dollars (tens of billions of won).

In its first-quarter results for fiscal year 2026, NVIDIA announced a significant increase in its quarterly dividend—from $0.01 to $0.25 per share—with the higher dividend scheduled for payment to shareholders as of June 26. On June 22, at London Climate Week, the company unveiled next-generation AI systems featuring high-temperature liquid cooling, which can substantially reduce additional cooling infrastructure and water usage in data centers, underscoring its ongoing focus on AI data center efficiency.

NVIDIA, the U.S. technology company leading the global AI semiconductor market with its data center GPUs, rose to the top of market-cap rankings following a 10-for-1 stock split on June 10, 2024. Both Stevens and Neal serve on NVIDIA’s board; Neal, as Lead Independent Director, represents the outside directors and advises on board oversight and corporate governance.
