On September 8, 2026, Veru Inc. announced new preclinical data showing that its oral drug candidate sabizabulin exhibits potent anticancer activity in daraxonrasib (RASONQUE, a Revolution Medicines KRAS inhibitor)–resistant KRAS-driven pancreatic and colon cancer cell lines at clinically achievable concentrations, and as a result the company has made a strategic decision to advance sabizabulin into a planned Phase 2b clinical trial for metastatic pancreatic cancer that has progressed on daraxonrasib while discontinuing prior work on sabizabulin for chronic inflammation in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease; Veru also provided an update that its enobosarm obesity program in combination with GLP‑1 receptor agonists remains on track, with the Phase 2b PLATEAU trial fully enrolled, an interim DXA-based analysis expected in Q1 2027, a clinical supply agreement in place with Novo Nordisk, and patent protection into 2044.
