This acceptance means the NRC has determined the application contains sufficient information to begin its formal safety, environmental, and technical review, positioning KRONOS MMR among a small group of Generation IV advanced reactors and, in the company’s view, the first commercially-ready microreactor to reach this stage. Based on its current understanding, the company expects the NRC review to be completed in 2027, potentially enabling nuclear construction activities in the second half of 2027, and is using this milestone to advance supply chain engagement, procurement planning, and a reduced-scale non-nuclear demonstration unit as part of its broader commercialization and deployment strategy.
