Centrus Energy Corp. and Radiant announced a definitive multi-year contract under which Centrus will supply U.S.-origin high-assay, low-enriched uranium (HALEU) fuel for Radiant’s Kaleidos microreactors starting before the end of the decade, with Radiant making prepayments that support Centrus’ domestic enrichment capacity build-out. The agreement adds another domestic, unobligated HALEU source for Radiant’s planned commercial and national security deployments, expands Centrus’ customer backlog and role in the emerging microreactor market, and is positioned as a step toward strengthening the U.S. nuclear fuel supply chain for advanced reactors.
