Allstate appointed Christian Lown as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 3, 2026, succeeding former CFO Jess Merten.

The Allstate Corporation announced that Christian (Chris) Lown has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 3, 2026, reporting to Tom Wilson, Chair, President and CEO. Lown, who brings more than 25 years of senior finance and capital markets experience and most recently served as CFO of CoStar Group, succeeds former CFO Jess Merten, who became President of Property-Liability in October 2025. John Dugenske, President, Investments and Corporate Strategy, has been serving as interim CFO and will continue in that capacity until Lown assumes the role.
