On August 21, 2026, CoStar Group, Inc. announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Zonda, a leading provider of new home construction data, homebuilder software and residential real estate marketplaces, for $800 million in cash, adding Zonda’s subscription-based information platform and the NewHomeSource.com and Livabl online marketplaces to CoStar’s portfolio. The deal significantly expands CoStar’s presence in the U.S. residential real estate ecosystem—particularly the roughly $400 billion new home market—by integrating Zonda’s lot-level proprietary data, software, and builder relationships with CoStar’s technology, analytics and marketplace capabilities. Zonda generated approximately $170 million in revenue in 2025 with a 23% Adjusted EBITDA margin, and CoStar expects the acquisition to enhance the profitability of its residential segment, support consolidated margin expansion, and create new long-term growth opportunities across commercial, residential, multifamily, lending and analytics businesses. The transaction, originally announced on May 29, 2026, has received required regulatory approvals and satisfied customary closing conditions, with BofA Securities acting as financial advisor and Latham & Watkins LLP as legal counsel to CoStar.
