Innovative Aerosystems (NASDAQ: ISSC) acquired Aydin Displays for $24.5 million in cash to enhance its rugged display and integrated aerospace systems capabilities, with Aydin expected to contribute about $16 million of 2026 revenue.

Innovative Aerosystems, Inc. announced that it has acquired Aydin Displays, a Birdsboro, Pennsylvania-based developer and manufacturer of rugged display technologies for defense, industrial, and aerospace applications, for $24.5 million in cash funded through a combination of cash on hand and borrowings under its existing credit facility. Aydin, which has a more than 50-year history and supports over 20 military platforms across more than 80 countries from its 40,000 square foot vertically integrated facility, is expected to generate approximately $16 million of revenue in calendar year 2026. Innovative Aerosystems will retain the Aydin Displays name, continue operations at the existing facility, and integrate Aydin’s approximately 50 employees into its organization to enhance its display technology capabilities and expand its exposure to naval, ground, and specialized industrial markets. Management cites the transaction as strengthening its U.S.-based manufacturing footprint, broadening engineering talent, and supporting its strategy to offer increasingly integrated cockpit and mission solutions and to benefit from favorable spending trends in key defense and industrial end markets.
