On July 29, 2026, AXT, Inc. announced that it entered into a long-term definitive supply and capacity reservation agreement with Lumentum Operations, LLC under which AXT will reserve a minimum annual volume of indium phosphide wafer substrates for Lumentum from the agreement’s commencement through December 31, 2031 and support additional capacity as needed, in exchange for an initial deposit of $43.5 million payable within thirty business days of signing and a second $43.5 million deposit to be scheduled during calendar year 2028, with both deposits to be applied as shipment credits against future product purchases.
